Electricity Results Page
1. Purpose
The Electricity Results page provides a detailed overview of the environmental impact associated with your company's electricity consumption. It presents a breakdown of your electricity impact, allows you to track your progress over time, and compare your performance against industry and association benchmarks.
2. Key Features
- Share of electricity sources in kWh: A bar chart at the top illustrates the total kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity consumed from each source (e.g., grid, solar, hydropower) for the selected year. This helps you visualize the proportion of electricity coming from different sources.
- Carbon Footprint: A bar chart below the first one shows the carbon footprint associated with each electricity source, measured in kilograms of CO2 equivalent (kg CO2-eq). This helps you identify which sources contribute the most to your overall electricity impact.
- Impact per Month (if applicable): If you selected a specific month in the options at the top of the page, this section will display a bar chart showing the electricity impact for that month, broken down by different sources.
- Benchmark Comparisons: The page includes benchmark comparisons to show how your electricity impact per square meter and per euro sold compares to industry averages and association averages (if applicable).
- Variance: This section displays the percentage difference between your company's impact and the industry or association average. A red percentage indicates that your impact is higher than the average, suggesting room for improvement. A green percentage indicates that your impact is lower than the average, highlighting good performance.
- Interactive Elements: You can hover over the bars in the charts to view detailed information about specific electricity sources and their contribution to your impact in each graph.
3. Understanding the Charts
- Share of electricity sources in kWh chart: Each bar in the chart represents a year, and the length of the bar indicates the total electricity consumed from all sources, distinguished by different colors.
- Carbon Footprint chart: Each bar in the chart represents a year, and the height of the bar indicates the associated carbon footprint in kg CO2-eq for all electricity sources used.
- Impact per Month chart (if applicable): Each bar in the chart represents a year, and the height of the bar indicates the electricity impact for that specific month.
- Benchmark Graphs: The benchmark graphs use bar charts to visually compare your impact per square meter and impact per euro sold against industry and association averages. This helps you see where you stand in relation to your peers.
4. Using the Page
- Select Year: Use the menu at the top to select the year for which you want to view electricity results.
- Analyze the Charts: Review the charts to understand the share of electricity sources, carbon footprint by source, impact per month (if applicable), and benchmark comparisons.
- Evaluate Variance: Pay attention to the variance percentages to identify areas where your company's performance is significantly different from the industry or association average.
- Identify Areas for Improvement: Based on the insights gained from the page, identify opportunities to reduce your electricity impact, such as increasing the use of renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, or optimizing electricity consumption patterns.
